Veeder Blanc de Blanc, 2004 - New Release PHILOSOPHY This Blanc de Blancs was created exclusively from Chardonnay grapes grown on the steep slopes of Chandon’s Mt. Veeder vineyard – one of our oldest and most prized properties. The rugged terrain of this vineyard creates low-yielding vines that produce fruit of exceptional quality year after year. Created in only exceptional vintages, this single vineyard wine is designed to express the traditional Blanc de Blancs apéritif style. TASTING NOTES This austere and complex wine opens smoky aromas of Marmite, malt, ginger and citrus. In addition to these aromas, almond and dried fig notes persist on the layered palate. FOOD AND WINE PAIRING The smoky and nutty qualities of this wine make it a natural match for smoked clams. It would pair well with anything from the sea from caviar to lobster.
