étoile Rosé:
In keeping with the traditional rosé winemaking method, we add a
small amount of red wine (Pinot Noir) prior to tirage to create the
distinctive salmon color with copper hues. The wine is elegant and
restrained with fresh aromas of plum, raspberry and nutmeg. These
aromas follow through on the palate and are layered with subtle and
delicate flavors of cocoa powder. The wine finishes with excellent
length and richness that will stand up to a variety of foods.
Carneros Pinot Noir:
This newly released 2008 vintage exhibits delicate aromas of
lavender, juniper and red cherry along with hints of sweet brown
spice and sage. The striking ruby color foreshadows the rich
flavors of boysenberry, black raspberry and red cherry. The
concentration of the 2008 vintage is evident with the vanilla
spice, pomegranate and mineral characters in the finish. The round
mid-palate and well integrated tannins will allow this wine to age
with elegance.
